Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Gangtok
- Morning/Afternoon: Arrive at Bagdogra Airport/NJP Station. Drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, nestled along a steep mountain ridge.
- Evening: Check-in to your hotel. Take a leisurely stroll along MG Marg, India's first litter and spit-free zone, lined with cafes and shops.
Day 2: The Glacial Lake Excursion
- Morning: Embark on an exciting drive to Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake), situated at 12,400 ft. Enjoy the stunning azure waters surrounded by rugged mountains.
- Afternoon: Visit the legendary Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. (Optional: Nathula Pass visit, subject to permit availability).
- Evening: Return to Gangtok. Relax at your hotel or explore local eateries.
Day 3: Gangtok Sightseeing & Drive to South Sikkim
- Morning: Visit the Enchey Monastery, Flower Exhibition Centre, and the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology.
- Afternoon: Drive towards South Sikkim, reaching the town of Namchi. Check into your hotel.
- Evening: Relax and enjoy the quieter pace of South Sikkim.
Day 4: Spiritual South Sikkim
- Morning: Visit Siddhesvara Dham (Chardham) in Namchi, featuring a towering 87-foot statue of Lord Shiva. Proceed to Samdruptse Hill to view the magnificent Guru Padmasambhava statue.
- Afternoon: Drive to Ravangla. Visit the awe-inspiring Buddha Park (Tathagata Tsal) set against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks.

Local Tips
- Permits: Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir require special permits. Provide your documents to your tour operator a day in advance.
- Altitude Sickness: Stay hydrated and avoid heavy meals before ascending to Tsomgo Lake to prevent altitude sickness.
- MG Marg: Vehicles are not allowed on MG Marg; prepare for some walking in Gangtok.
Best Time to Visit
- March to May: Pleasant weather, ideal for sightseeing across all regions.
- October to mid-December: Clear skies for panoramic mountain views, though Tsomgo Lake will be quite cold.
