Who is this itinerary for?

A three-night, four-day Zuluk itinerary suits travellers who can reach NJP or Bagdogra early and accept several hours of mountain driving. A late arrival can make the plan unrealistic, so the first-day cutoff should appear in the quotation.

Day 1: NJP or Bagdogra to Aritar or Mankhim

Drive to the first homestay and keep the afternoon flexible. The exact village can change according to accommodation, permit processing and route direction.

Day 2: Aritar to Zuluk

Continue through the permitted route toward Zuluk, with stops selected according to daylight and road conditions. Expect basic, locally operated accommodation rather than city-hotel facilities.

Day 3: Zuluk circuit and descent

Start early for the hairpin bends, Thambi View Point, Nathang Valley, Kupup Lake and other permitted points. Access depends on weather, snow, route permission and defence-area restrictions. Descend to a suitable overnight point such as Rishikhola when the operating plan allows.

Day 4: Return to NJP or Bagdogra

Leave after breakfast and maintain a generous buffer before onward travel.

Transparent price basis

A genuine starting price must name the minimum group size, vehicle-sharing basis, homestay standard, meals and pickup point. Permit processing may be included, but government restrictions cannot be overridden. Entry fees and traveller-requested route additions should be itemized.

Frequently asked questions

Is the full Silk Route always open?

No. Access is condition-dependent and can change at short notice.

Are luxury hotels available in Zuluk?

Accommodation is usually simple homestay-style lodging. Expectations should be discussed before booking.

Is this suitable for a two-night trip?

A two-night plan is possible only with limited coverage and suitable arrival timing. Three nights is generally more balanced.
